It’s that time of year again when words like ‘cleanse’ and ‘detox’ are getting tossed around a lot. After a season of excessive sugar and alcohol consumption and late nights, many of us are looking to rid the body of those unwanted toxins and return to treating ourselves right once again.
I’m personally not into juice diets and fasting, but I do enjoy the taste and health benefits of incorporating fresh juice into my diet. If you’re looking for more lightness and energy, try this concoction I threw together this past week:
Raw Juice – makes 1 pitcher
2 granny smith apples
1 Macintosh apple (you can use your favorite variety of apple)
5-6 large carrots
1 numb of peeled ginger
It’s a nice immune boaster with an added anti-inflammatory bonus from the ginger.
