I love taking advantage of all that our local farms have to offer.
In recent years, more attention has been focused on enjoying local produce, meat, eggs, and dairy. Grass-fed lamb and beef is actually more nutritious than eating grain-fed. It contains less fat, more omega-3 fats, and more vitamin E. You’re also not consuming an animal that has been given anti-biotics and steroids.
I buy my lamb and beef from Watson Farm in Jamestown. You can go on Thursday afternoons at 3pm or visit them at the Coastal Grower’s Market in the spring and summer.
